Governance Principles
In designing the Coalition structure and governance, the following abiding principles were adopted:
- Maintain equitable representation across all sectors to inform strategic planning and most decision making
- Provide a platform for information sharing, discussion and consensus
- Do not repeat or replicate; leverage work already being done
- Commit to a common agenda focused on improved access to affordable and quality assured essential medicines and products for those who are in need
Governance Structure

The Steering Committee provides overall strategic guidance for the Coalition. The Steering Committee includes eight to ten members, including the four workstream leads, three sector representatives, the Secretariat and two open seats for high profile experts. The Steering Committee ensures that Coalition governance and related decisions are made on a consensus basis.
