This factsheet introduces NCD4Cast, the Coalition’s digital forecasting tool that helps countries estimate the quantities and costs of NCD medicines needed to meet population health needs, even where data are limited. It highlights how implementation in Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana has generated evidence to inform procurement planning, mobilize funding, and advocate for greater investment in NCD medicines and products.
Working Together to Strengthen Supply Security
This two-pager introduces the Coalition for Access to NCD Medicines and Products and its work to improve access to affordable medicines and health products for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It highlights the Coalition’s collaborative approach, key accomplishments, and opportunities for members to advance supply security, sustainable financing, and better care for people living with NCDs.

At the Coalition for Access to NCD Medicines and Products’ Annual Meeting, which took place in Kampala, Uganda in June, more than 100 leaders from government, civil society, academia, and industry reaffirmed a powerful message: even in times of crisis, investing in people’s health is not optional—it’s essential. With noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) driving the majority of preventable deaths worldwide, meeting attendees called for smarter, more efficient investments in primary health care, supply chains, and data systems to make NCD care more accessible; ensure adequate availability of NCD medicines and products at last mile; and gather more reliable data for decision-making. As we head toward the 4th United Nations High-Level Meeting on NCDs this September, we are united in our commitment to champion practical solutions, spotlight country-led progress, and advance innovations that show what’s possible when health remains a priority.
