Jean Claude Mbanya

Jean Claude Mbanya is Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Director of Biotechnology Center and Postgraduate Dean, Doctoral School of Health, Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Yaoundé I, Yaoundé, Cameroon.  Professor Mbanya is also the Director of the Health of Population in Transition Research Group, Consultant Physician and the Director of the National Obesity Centre and Chief of the Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases Unit at the Hospital Central in Yaoundé. He is the Dean of the College of Biological Sciences of the Cameroon Academy of Sciences. Professor Mbanya is currently Honorary President of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) after serving as President from 2009-2012.
